Conduct the kind of due diligence you would for such a relationship," Hall advises.

So while you'll significantly reduce your workload, the best relationships do require some effort on your part. To be successful, outsourcing requires careful planning, buy-in from principals, and frequent communication with the vendor. The right choice can prove profitable. In addition to cost savings, the efficient redeployment of management time are rewards that will show up on the bottom line.
